Adiantum x Tracyi- Tracy's Maidenhair
Adiantum x Tracyi- Tracy's Maidenhair

Evergreen, height to 30cm
Hardy, USDA zone 7-9
This rare fern is a naturally occurring sterile hybrid between Adiantum jordanii and A. aleuticum. It is found in North America, from California up through Oregon. It is an evergreen fern though in colder climates it will probably lose its fronds. Should be hardy throughout Britain and Ireland though protection would be advised in colder areas.
Well drained, organic soil in shade seems to suit this hybrid well.

Further information
Named after Joseph Tracy who first collected this plant in 1924.
