Adiantum caudatum Walking Maidenhair Fern 1litre £5.95
Adiantum caudatum Walking Maidenhair Fern 1litre £5.95

Tender to semi-hardy?
A fascinating species of maidenhair fern. On mature plants the 30cm long fronds sport young plants on the tips that readily root. Young growth is an attractive orange colour, maturing to green. It prefers moist soil and humid conditions. At its best in a container or living wall where it can hang freely, the weight of the young plants will cause the fronds to hang down. It could be worth chancing some of these outside in mild areas, especially if you have a sheltered, humid area. There are reports that these can grow in zone 7a-7b gardens. Once your plant is mature you should have plenty of experimental plants to attempt.
