A hardy perennial in all but the coldest areas. Perfect for woodland gardens, it prefers a rich, moisture retentive soil. Dig in grit and leaf mould or garden compost when planting, plant bulbs about 8-10cm deep and they should need no further care. Mulch each autumn with leaf mould for excellent results.
This is an easy to grow aroid, early to rise so may need protection from late frosts. A variable species with heavily mottled pseudo-stem and a purple/green spathe with white stripes. It grows about 30-45cm high. In a word...spectacular!
