This is one combination that will get stronger and stronger as the season develops. The reds in the Athyrium are especially prominent in early spring and work well with the leaves of the heucherella, the red-purple of the stipes and ribs of a later season Athyrium go with the purple midrips of the Heuchera. To add interest add some dwarf spring flowering bulbs, the blues of Muscari work well.
