Evergreen, height to 15cm.
A superb, robust and very reliable ground cover plant for shade offering all year round greenery. The leaves are round and glossy. The red-purple flowers have long extensions (hence the caudatum) The extraordinary lowers appear March to April on the underside of the plant where they are pollinated by beetles, flies and small moths. A very hardy plant from North America, give it good fertile well drained soil in full or semi shade.
