Another stunning evergreen fern from Japan and a must for the Japanese garden. Fronds have long stems and the tips look like elephants trunks as they unfurl. Leaves are fresh green when young, turning a robust dark green in a couple of weeks, stipes have some black scales which contrast well with the foliage.
Eventual height and spread of 100cm. very easy to grow and tolerant of a wide range of conditions, preferring moist soil and light shade. Hardy to -12 centigrade. A group of these will give any garden an oriental feel!
