An attractive fern with colourful fronds of purple silver and green. This particular variety has a a distinctive red centre with white and green on mature plants. The fronds can be quite variable and the photo shows one type you can expect after a few years.Young plants especially are quite variable with fronds a mixture of typical painted fern fronds and green and purple fronds though it becomes more uniform when mature. The process can be speeded by removing the coloured fronds you don't want to develop. Easy to grow in moisture retentive soil in a sheltered position.
